GCC was started in June, 1973, by a nucleus of families that caught a vision of how God can transform lives.
They initially purchased 6 1/2 acres along I-270 between Manchester and Clayton and later added another 3 1/2 acres for a total of 10. The new fellowship met for six years in the Parkway Northeast Middle School and had its first service in its new facilities on its 6th anniversary in June, 1979.
Now on a larger campus, the GCC family is a vibrant, warm, Christ-centered church and we are excited about all that God is doing in our lives and in our world. We hope you will come and visit us and see if this is the place that is right for you – the place where God wants you to connect, grow, serve and reflect His greatness. We will look forward to meeting you!
The cosmic battle. Why was Jesus born? Truth as ultimate reality. Gazing on the face of God. How did this first study impact your heart, mind, and spirit? What did you agree or disagree with? Share your thoughts!

The pernicious lie - even to our children! We went to a book fair last night and since our kids love animals and familes, we picked out a book called "Animal Familes" by DK publishers. I had scanned through the pages but did not read every word before we purchased it. Once we got home, we settled in to read it and here was the first line of this children's book: "We are animals, like elephants, giraffes, and zebras." That was enough for me. The Truth Project has opened our eyes to what is happening in our society. We are beginning to see the veil lifted and the lies of the world exposed. As you can imagine, we will be returning the book. I also sent an email to the publisher last night after the kids were put to bed. The attacks are everywhere, subtle, and even directed to our most innocent - children.
